Deepika Padukone may well re-christen herself Ms. Unpredictable! Just when we thought we knew the truth behind the crackling chemistry between her and Ranbir Kapoor, which the latter described as a platonic relationship, comes the news that the duo is actually quite a cozy couple.
Does this mean that Deepika Padukone has finally broken up with Yuvraj Singh? Well, the latest on the grapevine is that she has. Apparently, everybody who saw them together at the Filmfare Awards function is now pretty sure she is definitely no longer with Yuvraj Singh, and she made no bones about her new love.
The reason for her split with Yuvraj is believed to be his possessiveness. According to some sources, Deepika was very serious about Yuvraj and the duo made no effort to keep away from public eyes. In fact, Yuvraj’s captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni even went on air to suggest that Deepika Padukone was not dating him but Yuvraj.
The sources claimed that trouble started brewing with the runaway success of Om Shanti Om after which Deepika could not give Yuvraj much time and at the same time rumours started surfacing of the actress’s rapport with the latest Kapoor kid. The final nail proved to be Deepika’s decision to fly off to Australia for shooting Siddharth Anand's film with Ranbir.
The couple reportedly had a showdown and it seems Deepika told the Indian ODI vice-captain to back off and let her breathe. After getting back from Australia, she is believed to have called off her relationship with him and since then, Deepika has been seen with Ranbir and they seem quite happy together.
At the Filmfare Awards function, they were seen huddled together awaiting their turn to pick up the statuettes. They were also seen holding hands and snuggling up to each other at Farah and Aqueel's party after the awards night. It was Siddharth Anand's film which really brought them close.
